Abi Ocia – Expo

#NewMusic from London, England

Think moody military drum rolls at the outset of an epic battle, followed by a moment of tranquillity before the two fuse together in perfect harmony. Abi Ocia sure knows how to conjure up emotive imagery through her music as she proved once again in 2017. Shame on us for sleeping on this one after Drums Eat Everything gave us such a good steer. More like this in 2018 please.

Abi Ocia – Running [Drums Eat Everything Takeover]

#NewMusic from London, England

It’s the final day of our Dash ‘n’ Verve takeover. To round things off we’ve got Abi Ocia’s track ‘Running’ which was our Record of the Week last September.

All five tracks I’ve featured this week were debut releases. For me, they’re all immediately infectious and have been on regular rotation some months later without losing any of their appeal. North Downs and weslee are probably best placed for success in 2017 but these are all artists who epitomise why finding and sharing great new music is what Drums Eat Everything is into.

Thanks for having me.
