It’s been a while since we had a royal fuzz fest on the blog. This one ticks all the boxes, guttural bass, a military sharp snare and ethereally soft vocals that are suddenly unleashed in the chorus in an unrelenting repeating salvo. Some great guitar work throughout to boot.

The catchiest of choruses. A great sign for whats to come on their debut album ‘Tales From The Backseat’. Due out on 12 January 2018.

“I dropped my headphones in the harbour, so I hummed your song the whole way home” coos Sorcha Richardson to open her latest pensive, introspective cut ‘4AM’. Musing on her current love prospects, ‘4AM’ is about not blaming yourself anymore when things go wrong, admitting, “I could have tried a little harder, I don’t know, I just like it here alone”.
A finely balanced blend of organic piano sounds and reflective vocals with a synth that edges in the direction of Lil Silva’s ‘V1‘ but manages to restrain itself just enough. We’re big fans.
Sorcha Richardson ‘4AM’ is out now.
