Raekwon – The Wild

Raekwon ‘Da Chef’ is back with a storming album, yet another from the Wu-Tang camp that just keeps on giving through the members’ solo releases.

The clarity of sound that flows through this album is sublime. The crispest drums, perfectly positioned samples, mellow guitar licks, soft horns and of course Raekwon’s trademark laid back flow. Even more synthesised offerings like ‘My Corner’ get it right. The balance is spot on.

As you’d expect, there’s plenty of guesting. Expect CeeLo Green, Lil Wayne, P.U.R.E, Andra Day and G-Eazy. What an honour to be working alongside an artist who has consistently nailed it, from Wu-Tang to today.
