Harvs. – Fool In Love

#NewMusic from Brighton, England

At the risk of repeating ourselves, UK spoken word is SO strong right now. We literally felt as if we were sat in an arm chair, cradling an iced drink, contemplating whether to make the call Harvs. sets out in ‘Fool In Love’. We’re excited for the beats and rhymes this MC has in the pipeline in 2018. You should be too.

Manik MC – Blue Afternoons (feat. Natty Wylah)

#NewMusic from London, England

We have been totally bowled over by the sound and quality of the UK spoken word and hip-hop scene over the past 12 months. Manik MC’s ‘Midnight Express’ release is yet another fine example. ‘Blue Afternoons’ with its soft sax riff and beefy kick stood out for us. At times the bottom end swallowed up the vocal when we wanted that to shine through. The future’s looking anything but blue for this MC.

RHEA – Views

#NewMusic from London, England

How this track from the London based singer slipped through our inbox is beyond us. We’re on to it now and damn glad of it. The discordant opening piano stabs are balanced out with the introduction of RHEA’s vocal which is drenched in class. Escalating to the tracks climactic finish we were hooked throughout. We’re excited to hear much, much more from her in 2018.
