The Notorious B.I.G. – Life After Death

A few weeks back we remembered 20 years since the passing of East Coast rap innovator The Notorious B.I.G. Tomorrow marks 20 years since his now legendary, posthumously released second studio album ‘Life After Death’.

Just a week before his murder in a still unsolved drive by shooting in Los Angeles, B.I.G. dropped the debut track ‘Hypnotize’. This was followed in the summer of 1997 by the Grammy nominated ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ with its instantly recognisable Diana Ross sample.

We never got to see the full scale of B.I.G.’s potential, but what we did get in his oh too short lifetime has left an indelible mark on the musical minds of many. R.I.P. B.I.G.
