David Bowie – The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

As one of the many great artists to depart during 2016, it’s pleasing to have the opportunity to reflect on some of David Bowie’s work that celebrates an anniversary this year. His ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ album is a spritely 45 years old today!

The concept album for Bowie’s alter ego Ziggy Startdust was recorded at London’s Trident Studios across multiple sessions in 1971 and 1972.

The album is as revolutionary in its style and delivery today as it was back then. R.I.P. the great David Bowie, long live your musical legacy.
